Thomas hat sein ganzes Leben lang gejagt, die ersten Jahre ging er mit seinem Vater auf die Jagd, bis er mit 17 Jahren seinen Jagdschein machte. Für Thomas geht es bei der Jagd nicht nur darum, zu schießen und Fleisch mit nach Hause zu bringen, sondern um die ganze Erfahrung, Zeit draußen zu verbringen, es ist therapeutisch. Sich lautlos durch den Wald zu bewegen, mit der Natur zu verschmelzen, die Sinne zu schärfen, den Geist und den Körper völlig zu konzentrieren.

Auch wenn das Erlebnis für Thomas das Wichtigste ist, spielt das Mitbringen von Wildfleisch auch eine große Rolle. In seinem Haus wird fast ausschließlich Wildfleisch gegessen, und darauf ist er stolz. Er weiß, dass die Tiere, die er schlachtet, ein gutes Leben in der Wildnis und nicht in einem Käfig auf einem Bauernhof geführt haben. Thomas ist sehr darauf bedacht, alle Teile des Tieres zu verwenden, und es ist für ihn selbstverständlich, sich bei der Zubereitung des Fleisches Mühe zu geben, wenn er selbst den Abzug betätigt hat.

Spending time in the nature, and have the feeling that im free.

A:

Every type of hunting has something about it that makes it special, so this one is hard to answer.

A:

Our ancesters who realy used every bit of the animal for something.

A:

When i got to shoot a 12 spike red deer, and my niece and nephew came up to the place where i shot it.
And when i shot my first Double for my dog, last year.

What is your preferred way to cook game meat?

A:

i dont have any!
I try to mix it up and try new things on a regular basis.

Is there any animal you dream about hunting?

A:

The dream must be to be able to shoot a reindeer with an bow and arrow, like our ancesters did!
But something that is possible, would have to be shoot a Chamoix with bow and arrow.

Any advice you would give to new hunters?

A:

Try to learn from everyone and dont be afraid to ask „stupid“ questions.

How do you use lighting in your hunting and outdoor life?

A:

I use it both in the morning and the evening when we are heading out and coming back from the hunt.
And also in the campsite when skinning the animals, after we have retrieved it from the field. And of course inside the tipi we have at the campsite.
