Q&A

Q:

How did you get into outdoor camping?

A:

It started when I was a kid being a boy scout and the type of child who was building secret hide-outs all the time. Later on, my years in the army boosted the interest even more.

Q:

Is the hammock your preferred way to camp and why?

A:

YES! I absolutely love every single aspect of hammock camping. I get a better sleep, I feel rejuvenated in the morning and I feel more in contact with the nature around me than if I camped in a tent.

Q:

Favorite place to camp?

A:

I’ve got a few “secret spots” with amazing views over the fiord. I usually get there by canoe or kayak.

Q:

Any place you dream of going camping?

A:

I would love to go camping in the boundary waters canoe area in northern Minnesota. It’s a paradise for canoeing hammockers…

Q:

3 pieces of gear you always bring camping?

A:

A headlamp, a hammock and a knife

Q:

 Summer or winter?

A:

Each season has its own charm. I love to go camping all year round, but if I have to choose one season, it would be summer.

Q:

The perfect campfire meal?

A:

I like to make a slow cooking stew that simmers for hours. After prepping the ingredients, It gives me time to relax in my hammock 😉…

Q:

Best way to make coffee outdoors?

A:

From a hammock

Q:

A piece of advice to people who want to start outdoor camping?

A:

Don’t be afraid to fail or not living up to your own expectations. Enjoy your time out and find your own way of camping. -There’s no right or wrong…

Q:

How do you use portable lighting in your outdoor life?

A:

I use a headlamp around camp for various tasks and if I have to hike in the dark. I also use different lanterns for ambient lighting and to provide that cosy camp vibe.
